About Castle Hill Management
Castle Hill Management is a private, closely held investment firm focused on investing in, developing or acquiring and growing high-quality existing companies and franchises.
We invest our own capital and operate independently, allowing us to take a long-term view and remain fully aligned with the companies we acquire. This structure gives us the flexibility to support thoughtful decision-making, invest through economic cycles, and prioritize sustainable growth over short-term results.
Castle Hill was founded on the belief that the most successful businesses grow by expanding opportunity— better serving customers, creating jobs, developing talent, and strengthening the communities where we operate. Our role is to support management teams with strategic insight, operational resources, and patient capital while preserving the identity and culture that make each business unique.
We are selective in the companies we acquire and intentional in the partnerships we form. When we commit to a business, we do so with the expectation of building something special and enduring together.
Part of how we achieve this is through broadly distributed ownership. Castle Hill believes in treating employees like owners – both in terms of responsibility and rewards.
Our Management
David Richman, Founder And CEO
David grew up in suburban New Jersey with a passion for entrepreneurship and investing. He spent his high school summers working in an anti-freeze factory that was acquired by a private equity firm. From the factory floor, David saw the business grow as the investment firm brought capital, advice and a profit sharing plan to drive growth and innovation. The business grew quickly and growth was fun. That early experience shaped his perspective of what investment firms and operating businesses can do together. Since then, David graduated from Georgetown University and spent nearly 25 years at elite investment firms such as Guggenheim Partners and The Carlyle Group, where he honed skills in management, business building, investing, franchising, capital allocation, talent acquisition, and financial analysis.
David lives in Westchester County with his wife and two children.
